Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Hello Kitty backpack seems to be some sort of shield that allows the wearer to get away with about anything..... such as bringing on way to much crap and making the whole plane 20 minutes late while you change seats and ask strangers to move to center seats so that you can sit together and chat all night whilst everyone tries to sleep.

eff Hello Kitty. effin effer cat.

No riding since Thursday.

But Mrs. RJ's surgery was a success, so a return to my Schwinning ways is imminent.

I think because he only has the CycleOps Joule, not a Garmin.

Went around this lake (the video doesn't mention the part of the loop covered with exposed tree roots).

Not a long hike, but still longer than I have hiked (or even walked) in ages. Then, along the way, it started raining.

Slogging along a muddy path, tripping over roots = Dumb

I, of course, oppose the moderator's efforts to kill this forum. But I did get a chuckle in seeing that Pcad's thread was moved to the blogger subforum because he bragged about his "blogging."

Negative. My sister's family is renting a "cabin" nearby and I stayed there last night. Went to Grandfather Mountain this morning and then drove the BRP down to Asheville. Back in K-Town now.

The mountains are very nice in the summer.

I only recommend using tri-geek* stamps for anonymous mailings--the kind you cut words out of the newspaper so you can't be identified.

*Geek is a required part of the description
