Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wow!. It wasn't me but I'm only a few minutes from there.

Benson looks like he's going to be a really nice dog.

He would have had to be putting down some serious watts to roll wth the 70mph traffic on the thruway.

Benson looks like he's going to be a really nice dog.
She's settling in quite well so far.

Good luck, almost all of my races are very flat so take the data with a grain of salt.

What? More please.

You should switch to Campy, by the way.

Cool painting Velo Gator. Now you have a way to remember your wheels before you removed the stickers!

The "sperm stickers" add a sense of movement to the work.

The first time I came up this stretch of road, I thought that guy (kinda small in the pic) was an actual critter.

What's the last thing I need?

Another 90s MTB.

But that's what I got yesterday. Well frame, fork and headset anyways...

NFI what I got. Steel. MTB. Late 80s or early 90s MTB. I like to pretend my finger is so completely calibrated that I say the tubes are Tange.

Stupidest part about the whole deal was I already had plenty of weight on the bike. Olde MTB had to be 6 lbs. more.

It's kind of hard to see the frame with all of the other stuff you have there. How will you build it up - regular MTB-style or something else?

I was sitting at my desk when it hit. I've been through a couple here before, so it was no big deal, and much weaker then the epicenter.

It was a bit more movement than large farm equipment moving past the house and lower frequency. Evidently, last year's Quebec quake could be felt here but I don't remember it.

Included a stop at the LBS on tonight's ride. I needed a spare tube (I've been living dangerously the last couple of weeks).

Paused at the swan pond in Manlius too.
