Happy 4th of July!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

As an American living in Canada, I feel a bit of melancholy today. I am also at work and I think I should have the day off

Don't forget how patriotic we are with our celebratory Chinese fireworks.

I saw a Corvette with a flag paint job on my ride today. The whole car. I just kept thinking that this is the only day of the year that person can drive his car.

I celebrated by drinking mass quantities and eating overcooked burgers that looked like hockey pucks. Now, I am going to light a fuse and blow something up.

Happy 4th of July!

today is probably the holiday that modern-PC-hardline liberals hate the most. w/ the possible exception of christmas. NE-thing that celebrates non-bloated government, tax protests, & christianity is like kryptonite if they're really serious.

it's safe to say it's mostly symbolic @ this point.
