Common Test/Demo bike markdown

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Common Test/Demo bike markdown

I'm shopping for a new bike, and my lbs has a Tarmac SL3 expert with ultegra that they are trying to sell. It was their test/demo, so it has a few scratches on the top tube and chainstys.

How much do lbs's typically mark these bikes down? Do they normally still come with a full warranty?

AFAIK, the bike will come with a full manufacturer's warranty. Each situation may be different though, so really that is a question you need to be asking the shop. I suppose you could ask them the price and how much they have marked it down while you are at it.

Generally, you should see that bike go for $2,000 - $2,500 depending on the local market and condition.
