Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Great deal on jerseys - as low as $12 + shipping.

This was originally posted in the So Cal Regional forum but I thought it was worth re-posting since it was such a great deal and more of you might see it here.

https://amgentourofcaliforniastore.co...sort=2a&page=2

$30 jerseys then add code SUMMER60 for 60% off. For sizing comparison, I am 5'11" 170 lbs and a L fit great. It is about the same fit but slightly longer than my XL Castelli podium jersey. I got this one and was impressed with the quality. It has a 3/4 hidden zipper and a gel-like gripper at the bottom.

Sorry if this is a repost but I thought I'd share.

they're all basically gone. Unless you want a small. I think I saw a medium on one. Bummer. I'd have grabbed a couple for that price

I've never seen such a great deal for Amgen TOC jerseys. Very good quality too. I was able to snag a couple myself.

Small is perfect for me and I've shrunk out from under the one I picked up at the race 2 years back. Thanks for the heads up!

FWIW, 2009 are race cut, 3/4 zip hincapie. 2010-2011's are club cut (read: loose), full zipper hincapie.

2008 and earlier is Voler I believe.

how "loose" is loose? would a 2009 M be comparable to a club cut S?

I'm not sure a race cut M would be a club cut small, as the overall height of the jersey would probably be shorter on the small...exposing your plumbers crack.

I only have mediums (got 4 from the Tour de California store last week), tho, so it is hard for me to say definitively. What I can say is if your body fat is <10%, race cut fits great, but club cut is still perfectly wearable...just not sleek looking. At $12 it's hard to go wrong.

I found a few XL's left for my 6' 3" self. Thanks for the link! They even appeared to ship to APO, at least in the sense that my shipping address didn't get rejected

I snagged 2 L's! If they are too tight, it will inspire me to train more!! And, for $12, I would wear a Pampers Poopy Pants logo Jersey if it was originally $80.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for the heads up on these. As of last night they still had a few styles that were available in medium so I got 2. Other than shipping, these are cheaper than the bottom of the barrel Nashbar jerseys I've been wearing.

Does anyone have comparisons of the Hincapie jerseys versus the Voler jerseys?

Thanks!

I needed another larger jersey to hold me over until I knock off this sympathetic pregnancy weight, so I went ahead and got the 2007 Best Young Rider jersey for $12 and a $4 t-shirt for the little guy to wear at next year's tour (if he doesn't grow too terribly fast).
