Stiff frame recommendations?
Road biking since '01. Bought a Trek 1000. It did the job.
Around two years ago, built up a quick & dirty trek400 fixed gear. Last summer, a much nicer built '07 c'dale capo. Put a quite a few K miles on that since, including a few 50 milers & a century through MA and NH.
The trek 1000 had been hanging except for a once or twice a year triathlon. Got a friend into the sport & cut them a deal on it. I may be moving to a substantially hillier area, and will need some gears, I think.
Criteria: similarish geometry to the capo & plenty of stiffness. I can spin well, but make a habit of charging hills. Light is always good. Would like to stay under or around $2k for the complete, happy to do parts scrounging & buildup myself. Used, partially used, Bikesdirect, etc. TI, carbon, Alu. All game.
I usually ride a 56. Trying to pull some strings to get a better copy of the '07 Capo's geometry chart. Here's the best I've got.

I recently bought a new frameset to replace one I found to be too small. I got the aluminum Specialized Allez Comp E5. It's fairly stiff, but middlin' in terms of weight. MSRP is $580, including the fork and seatpost. I got mine for $500. That leaves $1400+ for the rest of the stuff. It's got a standard bottom bracket.

Thanks guys. I'll consider that one. I've always liked specialized for mountain, maybe it's time to give them a chance on the road also.
How does stiffness compare with a c'dale CAAD9 or 10?

CAAD9 was the 2nd stiffest frame made a few years back (cervelo R3 was stiffer). so the huge majority of bikes would be less stiff than the CAAD9

Good to know. I knew it was stiff based on my Capo, but didn't know it was quite that high ranking in stiffness.
I assume the CAAD10 is no flexier, even if not proudly made in the USA?
