Which tube size to buy?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which tube size to buy?

Hi All,

I'm looking for replacement tubes for my road bike although I'm somewhat new to the "skinny tire" scene.

The tires say 700x23c on them, but I see sizes for 18-23 and 23-25. Which should I get, they both appear usable?

Dave

that's why I didn't go with 25 tires this last purchase, I got a drawer full of tubes. In your case, i think either will do, but I use the 18-23 for my 700x23.

I've hear heard it really doesn't matter as long as it is reasonably close. I always use 23's for 23's, etc.

Thanks for all the responses! I will go with the 18-23 tubes.

I'm still amazed at the speed I can reach compared to my previous experience with mountain bikes.

You can go even faster by drafting triathletes.
