Need advice on buying new Clip Pdeals and shoes.
Well I am new to cycling and I have been looking on a lot of websites on buying clip pedals and shoes, I just dont know what kind I should get or etc, too many numbers and brands and just alot of kinds, I want to know what you use and what you recommend for a beginner.
I am not looking to break the bank on this I am thinking about 50$. Or am I just being un-realistic?
Any help is appreciated!

Ok. You're going to be advised to use the search function, as this is discussed quite often on here.
That being said, I'm not sure you're going to find any shoe/pedal combo for $50. Maybe $100 on super sale somewhere like nashbar or performance, though. You should go to the shops in Houston and TRY ON SHOES. You do not want to just buy whatever's cheap and have it destroy your feet. Since it's your first set of clipless pedals, you'll have a bit of a learning process/curve to experience. No big deal, and don't spend too much time reading horror stories about falling over still clipped in (we all did it).
So-any pedal system will do as a first set (look, speedplay, time, egg-beaters,spd, spd-sl). Spend more on shoes because they can really screw up your fun if they're sucky. Get a fit by a reputable shop if you can. that way you reduce the chance of messing up your ride due to bad fit-pedals included.

^^ Pretty much what he said. Shoes are all about what fits YOU, not what fits somebody else.

Sorry about the re-post, and thanks for the help.
I have seen prolly a dozen people fall down with their bikes on the roads while I was sitting at a redlight. So I am pretty sure it will happen to me.
I just didnt know if I should get shimano clips or some other brand, there is just too many of them, I will have to go to my LBS and see what I canfind.
Thanks

I suggest going to LBS and trying different shoes. While you may lean towards shoes that are cheap, they may not fit you well and you may end up buying another pair.
