Broken wrist - tips to get back only the road quicker?
I broke a bone in my right wrist. It's the triquetral/triquetrum bone on pinky side of hand caused by FOOSH (fall on outstretched hand). I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to get back onto the road quicker?
Yes, I'll verify with my doctor but they are generally very conservative and cautious. I'll ride the trainer and keep active but would like to at least get some easy road rides in sooner if there are adaptions I can make and start building strength back up as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. |
It depends on whether they are going to pin it or just leave it alone.
I would say ride the trainer now, but you probably won't be on the road for 4-6 weeks. But...go by what the orthopod says. |
HFTU and ride...what's the worst that can happen :innocent:

By fix it, I mean a roll of duct tape around ace bandages. Duct tape hand to hood if needed. Ride double century. Post about it here. |
