The light is a Niterider MiNewt 600 and I was using it on low power. Before last night, I had been using my Niterider MiNewt 250 on high power, and had been using it for 6 months with no issues, until about 1 month ago.
There was a similar issue raised in the electronics forum on this topic. I think the person had some success in putting some aluminum foil shielding around the light. |

My computer didn't need a light to misbehave. My brainwaves must be interfering.

I ride slower as a result, but I like not being distracted by the little numbers on my handle bars.
OTOH, my $20 Bell wireless says the bike is going 64MPH with a U-lock through the back wheel when I park next to the Coke machine at WalMart. Imagine my suprise when a ride shorter than my 5.6mi round trip commute showed 35 miles. The DrPepper machine at HEB doesn't cause that problem. |
