Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

(I edited my original question because it was unclear and Im sorry if it sounded stupid)

Does anybody here have experience with this bike for not racing purposes ?
I know that it is individual feeling and I need to see for myself but it would be good to hear what people have to say.
thanks.

What do you mean by "lost?" Did the forum software have a hiccup and delete something by accident? If so, you should let Joe know about it.

(of course I don't ask if this bike is good sure it is good but
the racing geometry- handlebar so down)
(You see Jan Ullrich when he rides this bike his back is flat down like a table,it does not look so comfortable.)

Jan Ullrich doesn't ride a Giant.
It is a fake.

I think we misunderstood your question. You are the only only one that can answer your question. I don't race but I ride a racing bike. I like the geometry setup I have. You may not. We don't know. I think what most thought was are you asking if it is silly to spend large amount on a bike if you do not race and the answer to that is no. Buy whatever you think you will enjoy the most. Good luck

Thanks man, the reason again why I ask this is that I dont want to buy this bike and then try to sell it 4 weeks later because I could not see anything but my front wheel and 6 meters of road in front of me,
and had pain in my neck and back after every ride.
So I just posted it here and I hope to get opinions from people like me (I mean not profesionals racers) about this bike.

Go to your bike shop and take one out for an hour ride. If you like it after that buy it.

Do you really think anyone here can answer that question? If ya just gotta have CF, there are other options that might not be so much of a potential 'PITN' like a specialized Roubiax.Alot of folks do buy the wrong bike for the wrong reasons and then resort to goofy solutions to try and make it into something it isn't.

He might not know. FWIW I'm in the drops probably more than anyone in the group I ride with. That said I am probably on the hoods 90% of the time. Also if he isn't from a road bike background (which is great, glad to see newcomers ) I doubt any road bike will be comfortable. I may be wrong. Like that search for the comfortable road saddle, I don't buy it. I don't think there is such a thing. You ride then your butt eventually gets used to it. Then it don't hurt no more. If your abs are weak then your back will be a little sore at first. You get stronger. A comfort oreinted bike may make the transition easier but a lot of us like to try to ride fast. Its fun.
