My new 2012 Bianchi Infinito

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't own SRAM so I have nothing to on, just his comments. Based upon his complaining, however, I decided not to buy SRAM for my new bike.
Yeah, you should probably tell your friend to get a clue. SRAM is where it's at, just so you know. It's a good thing Shimano finally brought Ultegra Di2 to market, because SRAM has been gaining market share like crazy over the last several years. And for good reason too. Although Di2 is nothing short of amazing, Shimano's mechanical component groups just don't compare to SRAM's. Some will still argue this, but I say those people either haven't used a properly adjusted SRAM system or they are just Shimano fanboys that drank too much kool-aid.

Here are a few goodies that I recently added to my new 2012Bianchi Infinito…

TISO upgrade kit, including rear derailleur mounting bolt, cassette lock ring, jockey pulleys, derailleur cable bolt and crank dust cap.

Miche Bianchi seat post collar. The Infinito comes with a generic seat post collar. The Miche collar is lighter, it has settingsfor carbon and alloy seat posts and it has the Bianchi name on it.

DEDA Zero Nero carbon stem, DEDA Presa carbon handlebar andDEDA Super Zero carbon

The TISO and DEDA components are lighter than the standardcomponents and have allowed me (together with the KMC chain) to save nearly a poundoff the bike’s original weight

I need an opinion/suggestion from you guys.

I am planning on getting Arundel Mandible water bottles. I am trying to decide whether to get the white one, the gloss black one, or one of each.

What do you guys think?

It's my dream to own a Bianchi in it's gaudy Celeste color.

Anyhow, I found a 1984 Superleggra in excellent condition but :

1. It's not my size (2 cm big)
2. too expensive right now

So boo-hoo to me

how much was the damage?

I am leaning towards white, though they will be a PITA to keep clean.

The TISO components not only add a nice touch, but they are also lighter than the Shimano parts they replace.

Are you gonna ride that thing or just keep it purty?

I was on my way to Toledo Ohio, on my way to Bowling Green, then Dayton, then Columbus. Sort of a mid-west tour. Of course, as a long time and loyal USC Trojan fan, I cross myself 3x every time I go by South Bend.

I ride her hard, then lovingly wash her. Yesterday I got caught in a sudden (and somewhat freakish for So. California) summer storm. Soon as I got hme, she got the full bath treatment.

I already have nearly 800 miles on her (got her the first of August).
