Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

biking in Singapore?

I was Singapore recently and need to go back this week. it looks like I may be spending a week a month there for business for the next year or so. It does not look like there is much of a road bike culture there. The only place I found that rented quality road bikes no longer rents and there are not people on the road. All I have seen is one path on the east side that had anyone riding.

Anyone know the scene here or anyone in SG that i might reach out to to get more info?
thanks

Hi, I'm from Singapore and have been commuting regularly on my roadie. You can visit the link above and ask around if you want to join a group. You can also check out these links for organised group rides. I'm sure there are more around but you'll find them more than suffice.

Thanks to you both for the help. I have been facing the fact of lots of travel time, which is hard enough, and facing weeks of no riding was really bumming me out. Looks like i will just need to get back into riding in the dark!
Cheers
