Saddle for non-Campy-equipped explosion-prone carbon bike

I need a new saddle. What should I get?

Further to this, say you get a new saddle on a carbon bike that doesn't have Campy components, so it's more at risk of frame failure both due to the carbon and probably because you have Shimano (or something) on it. What's the etiquette for a group ride when you need to blow a snot rocket but the other guys are yelling at you to hold your line, so you can't move over even though you don't want to smear the guy behind you?

Won't the two contrary impulses negatively affect the consistency of your cadence at that moment, producing a slightly higher possibility of carbon failure in the frame?

What?

Stickney 08-03-11 12:13 PM

Flip it.

If you have a carbon frame, you have to replace it every 100 miles or it might asplode. Terrorists hijack carbon bikes and blow them up, because they look confusingly like 787 jets.

There's this movie where they look inside a guy's head and it's a casino going on in there.

For some reason, when I read this, I visualized more of a pinball machine.

It all depends on your average speed.

Redundant.

foresthill 08-03-11 01:32 PM

If you could only have mentioned vaporware, this thread would have summed up all of the 41!

jdon 08-03-11 01:34 PM

This would all make sense if it was a pcad thread..

This post is like the German version of "99 Red Balloons"....I don't really know what it's saying, even though I kind of know all the words, yet I find it haunting, and cannot stop enjoying it.

The original post is a good lesson for children to see recreational use of drugs is harmful to brains

pallen 08-03-11 02:31 PM

You just summed up the 41 in one post. We can shut this down now...

Well, ya see ..... if you dial it up to 400 watts, really drope the hamer, raising your average speed by 2.5 mph, then you will be so far ahead, that your snot rockets will not hit anyone.

Of course, anyone can go 40 mph if they just try hard, but keeping up a high average speed is the hard part.

ahsposo 08-03-11 04:04 PM

Just get one that fits is my advice.

This one looks perfect for a big old ass.

Depends upon whether or not you have latex tubes, and pure nitrogen fill.
