Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2012 Pinarello FP Due

Got a look at the new Due (last year's FP2). It now has an asymetrical frame and a tapered head tube. My lbs says it is basically a Prince with less expensive cf. I seriously considered a 2011 but backed off due to its 3 year frame warranty. This bike seems to be a solid value (105 for 2400, rival for 2800). I have searched and found no frame issues with Pino, so I may reconsider.

I've been looking at '09 Prince framesets. They are just awesome, and no, there are no frame issues with Pinarello.

Honestly I never expected to find "frame issues" with Pino. However, I do wonder why you can get a lifetime warranty with Trek, Spec, Cervelo, Giant and not with Pino or Wiler...

I have the 2010 FP2 in Red. I love it. No frame issues at all. It's a beautiful bike.

Hypothetically, if I bought a nice CF bike with a lifetime warranty then left it untouched for 4 years, then rode it for the first time and discovered a large crack in the frame that had to of happened at the factory, I kind of doubt they'd honor my lifetime warranty.

I could be wrong, but I'm not entirely convinced by the whole "lifetime warranty" thing...
