Q Factor - Help!!
I have just been offered a good deal on a Synapse Carbon 5 but on leaving the shop I realised that the Q factor may not be the same as my other bike which has dura ace cranks on a 68mm BB
Can anyone tell me the difference in Q between Dura Ace cranks on a 68mm BB compared with the FSA Gossamer Pro BB30 on a synapse? I can honestly tell the difference between a few mm due to an old injury I am super sensitive to it and have spent years getting comfortable in my current position if its 1mm I can make it up with washers but I cant ignor it so any more than that I need to think up a solution quick. I have all the speedplay spindle lengths in the tool box and extra washers and knee savers if it comes to it I just need to know what the difference is as there are certain measurements that impossible to achieve without moving the cleats - i dont want to do that ever time i switch bikes! thanks for your help |

Geez, well at least you're certainly prepared for whatever the answer turns out to be!
Actually when I wrote that it occurred to me that I might have it covered anyway! Looks like the FSA Q is 144 from their web site but I dont know the shimano and its not the easiest thing to measure accurately without taking one arm off and putting them both on the same way around. Anyone know the Q of dura ace? |
