Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

hairline fracture in right foot

About a week ago I dropped my iPhone and it landed on my foot right where the big toe meets the foot. The edge of the corner of the phone is what hit. It hurt a little, but not too bad. Then on day 2 I could barely walk. There was no swelling and no bruising. I didn't think too much of it. On day 4 the pretty shades of purple, yellow and green arrived.

I got an xray from my PT and he says he sees a hairline fracture and recommended an MRI. I am not really interested in spending a couple hundred out of pocket for a doc visit, MRI and follow up, just so he can tell me there is nothing I can do except stay off it. As a small business owner, I cannot afford to stay off it.

I did try and take a leisurely ride, but the area specific pressure was brutal on the foot.

On the bright side I got to spend a week cleaning, waxing and lubricating my bikes.

That sucks!

However, dropping your phone on your foot is not very manly. Even if it happened, I would suggest re-telling the story with something bad ass happening to your foot... but don't get carried away.
