Bike sizing, fitting position and setup
I currently ride a 52 and thought I had the fit down. Then the other day I had a chance to ride a slightly larger frame (53/54) but with a more relaxed geometry and found it to be quite comfortable. The most surprising thing was that with the extra little room, I feel I generated more power when out of the saddle. So I went back and put a longer stem on my bike and rode it today and voila! indeed more power when out of the saddle. How do I know? Well I really don't for sure but I found climbing the same steep sections much easier. The problem now is that I do feel a bit stretched out when riding on the hood. Is this the way it is or is there something off with my setup/fitting?

Ur doin it all wrong!
Naw, just teasing. I'm sure you understand though that your questions are impossible to answer w/ the info you provided... just FYI. There are a myriad of adjustments and possibilities that are totally dependent on you and on your frame geometry. Too little info and too broad a question...
