Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So I pulled the trigger on the bike! I tried to get them to change the wheels, but they wouldn't, however I got a good discount (20%) on Look pedals. Going to pick it up and get fitted this evening after work.
Will get some pics to share in the next day or two.

I own this bike. With the stock Kysrium wheels it rode like hell. Personally, I hate that wheelset so I put some DT Swiss's on it. Now it rides 10x better. At $3000 you aren't going to go wrong.

i have no idea about the cassette. I would also think it was a way for them to save money. Kind of like the same way they used Force brakes and front derailleur.

So here it is! I changed the saddle the my Romin Expert (this one works really well for me, and it is a bit lighter than the older Toupe that came on the bike) and changed the bar tape to white to match the saddle.

They also changed the tires because the ones that came on it were recalled, so I went with white rather than red (they did not have red).

I have the option to switch the pedals out for red ones. Think it will look good?

That's badass! Very nice bike. I see you like lots of drop as I do. I needed to go to a zero setback seatpost to get me a bit more forward. Stick with the black pedals - it sticks with the badassery of the bike.

that was a very interesting review on those wheels! you can definately build wheels yourself in that weight range for helluva lot less tho I supposed the bladed spokes does bump up the price some. Seems to me like if nothing else they should be pretty solid but I suppose if someone is riding a 5k bike than it wouldn't be too uncommon to see them on 2k carbon tubulars or something. enjoy the bike, looks like a helluva deal

Went for my first ride on this yesterday! I love it! So fast, and responsive. And the Sram Red, flawless!

And i decided to stick with the graphite colored pedals.
