Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trek Pilot 1.0

So I am riding on a 30 year old Motobecane every weekend and decided it is time to upgrade. I have found this ad on the local Craigslist and would like you expert opinions on whether it is worth it.

I believe it is a 2006

Thanks in advance

ok deal. Could probably have been had for around ~700 when new in 2006. Looks lightly used. Has Sora shifters, I believe. Relaxed geometry bike. I have ~11,000 miles on the 1.2 I paid about $800 for in '06. Held up well. I'm happy with the bike. It is a bit heavy, but depending on your needs, that may or may not be important.
