that bd ti moto w/ultegra for 2k is a hell of a deal. and it leaves all sorts of cash left over. Id go carbon for that budget though.

Sorry, if you race, no bike is worth building that costs $3200 that isn't carbon. Trick question. Shoot, the frame I would want cost more than that alone.

With that budget you could get a nice EM, Somec or any other really well finished steel bike (not raleigh or any other junk please), even a used pegoretti or vanilla, and then maybe dress it with campy 11 how it deserves.
