What bike is what car?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What bike is what car?

Things to reference for ideas:
-Nation of origin
-Price-point
-Design (endurance/plush bikes are sports-coups while others are sport cars)

My first ideas are the Specialized Allez as the Ford Mustang (Both not top-of-the line but fast, names that have been in each companies name forever, and American), and the Felt FX cyclocross lineup as Subaru's Imprezas ( built for road & dirt, lineup goes from basic all the way to WRX sti and carbon framed)

Just a fun way to pass time.

Pretty sure this one was done a few months ago. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to find it.

Dude, an Allez is more like a Toyota Yaris - a basic entry level car.

Too late! This is the 41...the bar of expectations are a bit lower than sea level and not quite where you want them to be

Does the Allez have a motor of some sort? All about the rider, not the bike.

Then what the hell are those road bikes from Walmart? Golf carts?

I always considered Colnago to be the Ferrari of bicycles. Not super exotic, but very nice to have if you have the coin.

My Kestrel is like a ... well, like a Falcon, (the bird, not the 60's Ford). Quick, fast, and maneuverable.

You think a '60s Ford Falcon is maneuverable? I won't even get into the "quick and fast" part.
Have you ever actually driven a Falcon? If so, your standards are very, very low...

I believe the early 60's Falcons participated in rally races and had some success. Once the Mustang came out, they were pretty much history.

If bikes were comparable to cars for performance, the Ford Focus (entry level) would go 95% as fast as the Bugatti Veyron (top-end ultra-luxe bike).

The only comparable thing is in the beholder's mind for 'bling value' (which is what I think you're getting at), and that's irrelevant for me so I'll let the others chime in on that.
