Minoura rollers owners - help please

If anyone has the model of rollers listed in the following link - could you please measure the the frame bar width and height. I'm trying to see if the front wheel guard shown in the link will fit the performance rollers I have.

Please note, I'm not asking for dimensions of the rollers as a whole. I need the measure of one side bar, width and height to the nearest mm would great.

Thanks!

Ok, I will bite.

Why would anyone want this product??

Seems like an unnecessary waste of money to me.

BTW I also use cheap performance rollers.

as mentioned above, this is unnecessary. I've never lost balance doing threshold intervals on my Minoura rollers (well, other than the time when my tires were wet), and can do victory salutes on them as well.

I have in fact flown off the side of my Minoura rollers when I was tired. On the road this would've been a wobble, which has also happened when tired.

But I still wouldn't buy that.

2-3-4 hours of training on the rollers when the roads are **** tends to lead to time on the floor. I'm not going to pay attention at some point.

Besides, I got the idea from watching multiple warm-ups from one of the best female racers in the nation, who happens to use rollers with bumpers everywhere she goes. She continually hits the bumpers simply because she doesn't need to pay attention, talking strategy with teammates, talking-hands off the bars, etc...

Can you at least give me the measurements if you own those rollers. That's all I ask.

Sorry I can't give you what you want, maybe someone else can.

On those rare once/year occasions when I ride off the rollers, I just unclip and put my foot down. It's not even a fall per se, just a "stop."

That said, if you want to try those things be my guest.

I think they make about as much sense as a front fork stabilizer for rollers - WTF is the point of those?!?

My Minoura rollers are roughly 20 years old. (I'm 36.) They still work great, having gone through only a few belts. I would not guarantee they are of the same dimensions as yours.

They fit like they were manufactured exclusively for the Performance rollers. I don't know why I came here looking for information from a bunch of freds anyway.

In case someone else happens upon this thread for future reference:

Your response indicates a serious reading comprehension issue. Re-read the thread and see if you come to the same conclusion that calling Performance is the solution. If so, there is help.

I'll stick to a trainer. Only way I am going to end up on the floor is if I fall asleep. :bike2:

Haha, caught me red handed :) But change out "Performance" for "Minoura" and my point is still the same.

I have a friend who bought a KK Rock and Road because he kept falling off his Road Machine.

Hi Boxer - I did contact Minoura. Their response, as expected, and my best jap-english translation "these bumper guards are designed to fit our advance minoura rollers only". Hence my reason for coming here for a simple request amongst idiots like you hoping that I _might_ get a measurement from someone. Nope.
