Deda Mistral Tape?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Deda Mistral Tape?

Im wondering if anyone has used Deda Misteral tape. It looks sort of like Fizik microtex but I heard it is slightly thicker which adds a slight level of cushion. I can find Microtex at all my LBS's but not the Misteral. So I thought Id ask before I blindly ordered it. With shipping its more that the Fizik tape. I love Deda tapes but Id like to try something different so Im leaning towards the faux leather feel tapes.

I really like the regular Deda stuff but was a bit disappointed by Mistral tape. It looks decent (like Microtex, as you say) but it has very little stretch so it's hard to wrap neatly - I ended up with slight 'ridging' no matter how hard I tried to avoid it. Also, it provides minimal padding, although some will like it for that.

YMMV but I've wrapped a fair few bars and it's the most difficult tape I've tried so far.

I'd generally disagree, however I do it for a living. I favour mistral tape, for a couple of simple reasons-
Superior wear characteristics.
Lets me put white tape on my Dogma, and keep it clean
Looks so Bling!
When wrapped correctly, no ridges, very comfy (the better and more consistent your technique, the less you need to stretch it, the thicker it remains-padding, and the better it looks)

IMO, where most people go wrong is trying to figure 8 this stuff, or using the one strip on the shifter. The trick way is to cut it in half (the strip for the shifter) and have each vertically. Wrap to the outside, up to the base of the shifter, then around, up and over the top of the shifter, and around again. With practice and experience you'll easily leave no gaps, and there will be no bulge where there would normally due to using just one strip around the shifter band.
That's what the htc mechanic showed us anyway.

Is the Deda Mistral tape long enough to allow enough overlap to cover all the logos?
