Ordered a Caad 10 5, but...
It'll take 3 months to arrive. I guess Cannondale hasn't started or there's a shortage of 50cm in the white/team replica paint. They have 3 of the BBQ paint scheme, which is actually pretty decent looking, but the white is calling my name.
The positive out of the situation, is that I test rode a 2011 and I figured out which size I really need to be on (first time rider). Now I'll have plenty of time to pick up some shoes, helmet, and some pedals... Can't wait!

Yea, I figure it will be well worth it. The black looks good, but I couldn't pull the trigger at the shop. Had a great experience at the shop though, and the pricing I got was just fantastic, so I'm pretty happy overall.

THey have to fill the orders from the shops first. It's really the beginning of the 2012 season and hundreds of shops already have orders in for bikes. What shows up on the dealer site is what's being built that already does not have a shop's order on it. If we ordered 50 of those bikes, we'll get our first, then they fill individual orders.
I am assuming that whatever shop you ordered from does not have an order for these bikes, already.

To be honest, I have no idea, just that 3 different shops both gave me the same date in December, so what can I do. Got a good price, and although waiting won't be fun, I'm not crushed either.

I just saw one of these babies in a LBS. I went there looking for chain lube, then scanned the new bikes. That CAAD really caught my eye. It was in red w/105 front and back and shifters. Man it looked sweet!! I also like the double ring as opposed to triple.
I had been thinking of going bikesdirect to save some cash, but I'm tempted to go back and check out the CAAD again. The "sale" price was $1300. Way more than I was planning to spend, but I've got the bug now. I'll write back if I make the plunge...

One of the regular riders in our group brought out his new CAAD 10 a few days ago. His first ride on the new bike. By the time we finished 30 miles he was all smiles.

That red one OnThePath is a decent deal at $1300, as it's a 2011 model.
Cats: I paid $1500 out the door (roughly $1400 without tax) for my 2012, after we asked nicely. I would bet that you could get a 2011 for $1200 or so? Im just bummed about the long waiting period. They have 3-4 BBQ in my size, but that's a limited number obviously. Might as well wait, but I was reading how they had some major shortage last year, so I'm worried that I won't even get mine in December as expected. Who knows. I don't have a bike to ride now, which is painful at the moment...

We just cleared out our 2011 models, best price was $1,088 before tax. That was during a half million dollar three day weekend.

In 2010 I was quoted 3 months for my CAAD9-5 to arrive. It came in a month later. Hope that happens to you.

OMG....I did it. I pulled the effing trigger. Picked up the CAAD today and all I can say is WOW...
Admittedly, I'm coming off a steel bike, but man the CAAD is stiff. I especially notice it in the crank/BB area. And surprisingly the ride is no more harsh than my steel, and maybe even less so.
It took a few miles for my body to adjust to the fact that so much more of my effort was going into forward motion and not being absorbed by the bike. I did one of my usual loops (about 16 miles) and I'm guessing (no computer yet) I was faster all around, but more noticeable was that I didn't feel the need to rest. I just pedaled through some of the places that I usually coast so I can get a breath.
I can't wait to get out on that bike again tomorrow. I was so hesitant about going for it but now I'm having a hard time understanding why I waited so long. I'll post a pic soon...
