SLR Carbonio saddle

Anyone here have any experience with this saddle? I hear it is a bit lighter than the regular SLR and I was wondering if it is just as comfortable as many have said the regular one is. Thanks!

I can't see that it would be much more uncomfortable, as their is almost no padding on the regular SLR. I think if you get the carbonio you really have to have some good shorts. The new SLC comes out in Feb. or so. It is very cool looking and has the ultimate cut out for the perinium. And it's carbon.

I switched from the SLR (the regular 135 gr model) to the Flite carbonio. I was wearing out the leather along the sides of the sadlle every 6 - 8 mos. I would hated having to shell out for a new one so often so I switched to the Flite Carbonio because the shape of the saddle avoids is more rounded off. I would really hate to wear out an SLR carbonio as it gets a really expensive after a while.

As far as comfort the ti rails seem to flex more and result in a more comfortable ride. The carbon rails do make the Flite carbonio a good trade off between comfort/weight/durability.

I have teh SLR carbonio on the Airborne. Bit lighter than the SLR Ti, not as much as claimed though. Only by about 6 g (Total of 136). So, It's not worth it cause of the weight. Looks is better due to the carbon rails though.

And for those of you who claims it to be uncomfortable. Ever tried it out for more than 20 miles ?
Need a few miles to shape.

I have to agree. Generally speaking, the lighter the saddles, the less padding, and more hard carbon surface to sit on. If formed correctly, they are "tolerable", but definitely not plush.
I think I will be sticking with the regular SLR on my custom build.
