1. Are you progressing toward meeting your cycling goals for the year? I am wrapping up my season pretty soon, but I have accomplished most of my cycling goals. I am a much stronger climber, I was able to do the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour and finish strong, I did my first 200km brevet, and I was also able to do some club riding with the Ottawa Bikes Club. Unfortunately, I was planning on doing a couple of other 200k and 300k brevets, but they were all early the in season, when I had IT band problems. This was my first year following a structured training plan (Cyclists Training Bible), and while injuries kept throwing it off, it did help me become a stronger cyclist and it did help give a bit extra motivation to get more time on the bike.

2. What kind of distance have you managed for the year so far?
About 4860km-ish. I should definitely have 5000km by Sunday, which I am happy with.

3. How many kilometres or miles did you cycle in September?
596km so far, might get in 50km tonight if things work out.

No cycling goals per se, aside from riding as often as possible and participating in a few events.
Completed 3 events so far this summer and I'm happy with my results in all 3.
I just crossed the 4,000 mile mark for the year with only 200-250 of them in September.

I've managed to bring my cost per mile down to about $0.50!

well I am aiming for about 1500km. It's my first real "biking" year so it's a lot for me. I'm around 1200kms right now. Going for about 80 this weekend. I only ride weekends so it's hard go do a lot more than that (nothing like 4000 or 5000).

1. Are you progressing toward meeting your cycling goals for the year?
Well, they're pretty well done except for one. I planned to get my SR, and did that. I planned to do the Texas Rando Stampede and did that. I just did the Texas Time Trials, that wasn't a goal until later in the year. The last item is to get 10,000k in RUSA miles, and I need several hundred more kilometers to do that, but should be able to (and that is "K-Hound" status in the local club).

2. What kind of distance have you managed for the year so far? 10,400 and someodd.

3. How many kilometres or miles did you cycle in September? Actually, a personal-best month, at 1,544 miles. Mainly due to a 1,000k and the Texas Time Trials falling into the same month.

1. Are you progressing toward meeting your cycling goals for the year?
One goal was to complete my first century, which I did last weekend - it was the Tahoe Sierra Century, 7000 feet climbing. I have the Mt Diablo Challenge this weekend, which I have always wanted to do as well. Honestly, I wanted to do a lot more with cycling this year including participating in group rides and more than just one century, but next year is not too far away. I really wish I could participate in a race.

2. What kind of distance have you managed for the year so far?
2,113 miles; 122,707 feet ascent; 83 rides

3. How many kilometres or miles did you cycle in September?
467 so far. One more day =)

2. What kind of distance have you managed for the year so far? I'm currently at 1,333 miles for the year, surpassing last year's total of 1,144.

3. How many kilometres or miles did you cycle in September? 280 miles so far in September but I'm planning on getting an extra 20 in sometime this week so I can reach 300.

I waited until the last minute but I got 23 miles in at lunch today to make my 300 mile goal for September. Every day this week was 100 degrees but the "cold front" came in last night so it was only 90 degrees at lunch...a windy 90 but 90 nonetheless.

1. Yes, my goal was to suck less and I'm definitely better than I was 9 months ago.

2. Didn't have a bike the first 3 months when I was away from home and the next 3 included an insane course load but in the past 3 months, I've put in about 1,800 miles

3. 700mi but I was aiming for 1,000 and the rain screwed that up.

1. Are you progressing toward meeting your cycling goals for the year?

Yes and no. I am steadily working toward my mileage goal for the year. I wanted to enter a few races, but erred on the side of caution, I just can't afford to replace a bike in the event of a crash in Cat 5 races. (Weenie, I know.)

2. What kind of distance have you managed for the year so far?

4165 miles for the year. Goal is 6000.

3. How many kilometres or miles did you cycle in September?

725 miles in September.

There is always next year, or fall/winter.

My goal was to get a road bike this year and average 20 miles per week. I bought my bike 6 weeks ago and have a little over 400 miles at this point.

I may be making too much progress lately ... I started thinking about doing tri's today ;)
