Diadora shoes?

I noticed that on Nashbar, the most 'popular' road bike shoe right now when you search for shoes is Diadora.

I wasn't aware that they actually made bike shoes - thought they were more of a soccer/football company.

Anybody use these or recommend them? In either case, I was surprised to see it on the top of the "top seller" list on Nashbar both last week and this week at least.

I use Diadora Ergo carbon sole MTB shoes on my road bikes. They're fine, except for the sizing running a tad small: I usually wear size 42 but the ones I got feel shorter than my other cycling shoes which are also size 42 but different brands (Shimano, Performance house brand).

I bought a pair and sent them back. I have long (sz 14) and narrow feet. The Diadora's were way too wide. They seemed like well constructed shoes however and would be great if you have really wide feet. I went with a pair of Pearl Izumi's which other reviewers were saying were too narrow. They fit me just right.

I use a cheap pair of Diadora and they're ok. But not great.

I have a pair, but they're a little too small.

Work great for me. Comfortable. A little wide though.

I have a pair of Diadora X-Trail Carbon Evo MTB shoes that I use on both my MTB and road bike. They get the job done.

I've read reviews that some people have issues with the cleat plates ripping out. I've had mine since spring and not had any issues with an SPD style cleat.

Didn't Diadora provide the shoes for the current TdF champion?

Cadel Evans won the TDF in them therefore they must be great. :P :D

I have a pair of (non-cycling) sandals, Diadora, bought from K-Mart around 1999/2000 and I still wear them. They're a bit worn but I wish I had bought 10 pairs of them. So comfy and multi-purpose.
