Anyone mix hubsets F/R?
Is this an OK practice? I can get a good deal on a Hugi rear and a Dura-Ace or ultegra front, then have a new wheelset built with the same (new) remaining components: spokes, rims, nipples etc. Many Thanks!!!

What ever works for you, I have multiple wheels that I mix and match as needed.
The fashionistas out there might not concur though!!!

Mix and match to your heart's content, or wallet's ability. The greater the mix, the more interesting your bike will be to look at.

Mixing hubs, other than cosmetics, is a non-issue. But unless your existing hubs are low quality or shot/non-rebuildable, it makes little sense to swap them out. Look for a good deal on a quality wheelset and you'll end up with two sets of wheels. In my experience this is a preferable result (Though you do need to ensure the rim/brake pad relationship and cassette orientation are the same on both wheelsets). Good luck!

Actually, mixing hubs is very common on new bikes. Lots of manufacturers use a house brand front hub and a name brand rear.
