Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Indoor and car bike rack recommendations please

I need some storage and transport advice... I need to find a good:

Car rack for 2-3 bikes for a medium sedan that doesn't scratch too much

and

Indoor storage solution for 2 bikes and doesn't exceed 6.5-7ft and bolting stuff into the walls and ceiling will NOT be options

Thule bike stacker 2 for indoors. Thule t2 for transport, but it's a hitch mounted rack. Both awesome racks and easy to use.

This is the one I got, Target used to sell it but I guess you can get it here. https://www.racorinc.com/Products.aspx?id=114 you don`t have to bolt the top to the wall, I didn`t.

Apply stick-on protective film to the areas on your car where the rack will contact the paint. You might think that the soft rubber pads on the mount won't scratch the paint, and they probably won't, but dirt and grit that inevitably gets under them will.

Ah can't use a hitch mount car rack actually...
Also those stackers would be awesome if I had a higher ceiling where I store my bikes... The ceiling is probably about 80" tall?

Saris Bones RS. Best trunk mount around, in my opinion. It has a locking mechanism to the bike rack can't be easily stolen. Plus it only has 2 straps to deal with. They are rubber with a steel ribbon inside to help prevent somebody cutting them.

I used to use a Saris Bones rack. It was pretty solid. Saris has a new rack that is kind of ugly, but I hear works better.

As for indoor storage, I used a Delta Boticelli 4-bike rack that I got on CL for $30.

For a two-bike, free-staning rack, the Performance brand one seems to do a pretty good job ( you can get it for as little as $60 when it is on sale). Also, Sportrack, Thule and Feedback sports make solid indoor racks.

Here are a lot of racks to consider:
