What's the longest you've waited for a bike or bike part?

I bought a 2009 Giant TCR advanced SL /w ISP from a friend a few months ago and test rode it, but found I really needed the extra long seat clamp with shims to get the saddle where it needs to be (it's a large frame and the seatpost has never been cut, but I need about 3 more MM out of it).

I ordered that clamp 8 weeks ago through my LBS, and apparently it's back ordered. It's about to kill me that it hasn't come in because I really can't ride the bike without it. I've called all the giant retailers within 100 miles to see if any of them have it in stock. . . nope. This is the exact part:

So what has been the longest you've waited for a part?

Deposit on frame sent early April this year. I'll see the frame hopefully by mid March of 2012.

I know I had some packages in the mail that seem to have stopped at one area. Then I contacted the online shop and they told me some packages are held at the border sometimes. Well, I got the package eventually but I don't know how long.

In the case of something that was out of stock, who knows how long it could take? I've seen parts on niagaracycle for example vanish from their site and pop up later. And I could never guess if or when they'd have the part again.

That's a ton of lead time!

I've been waiting a few weeks for a powertap wheel. Currently sitting in a post office somewhere in Maryland; mailed Thursday, and didn't go anywhere Friday or Saturday. Of course, it obviously isn't going anywhere Sunday or today. Hoping I have it by the end of the week.

1-2 weeks from overseas. That has included frame and wheels. No more than a week from within the US. Have prdered several times through different LBS and it has always taken them 3-5 times longer to get something that is in stock with their distributor that delivers to them weekly, so I stopped ordering anything from any of them.

Custom, handmade, one at a time, to order, etc - frameset. Not a fair comparison I understand, but puts other wait times into some perspective. Then again, we could go ask 55/Rad how long that paint job has taken.
