I would go with the shimano Ultegra or 105's. The DA is used experimently and when they don't work well the go away.
As for most of the others they are little more than glorified freewheel hubs. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/brandt/free-k7.html

Novatec is a Taiwan brand manufactured in Taiwan.

And the November wheels that aren't built in my basement are built in the far east - of Arlington, VA.

The White Industries aren't the lightest but you'll have them for the rest of your life. Great hubs for training wheels. I built up a set with A 23 rims that came in just under 1500 grams for 24/28 spoke wheels.

What spokes and nipples did you use? I built wheels with H2/H3 hubs and A23's and weigh 1610. I did use brass nips and DT Comps because they are just training wheels.

Ive got some Mavik Ksyrium SL now and I love them, tough wheels and they seem to roll very well (sound good too) I'm wondering if the hubs on these are something I should upgrade or just leave em be.

What do the Chinese have to say about that?

Is that really necessary Bob?

They would say the same thing but add that Taiwan is part of China.
