This is one expensive bike

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is one expensive bike

Anybody else think this is overpriced for a bike with a 105 groupset - https://www.brookscycles.co.uk/bikes/...ed-3-2012.html

I think somebody is guilty of a typo

Not at all. it comes with a hand tooled leather saddle, and access to the very same doping expert used by lance.

They're just anticipating the collapse of the Euro, that's all.
The pound will take a hit when that happens.

For that kind of money you can go Beryllium.... ....If you dare....
See this page, down at the bottom where the "1993" (year) is-
https://mombat.org/American.htm

"... The first (MTB) frame was overbuilt and weighed 2.5 pounds. Of that, the Beryllium tubing was one pound (including one ounce chain stays), 1.25 pounds of aluminum lugs and 4 ounces of adhesive. ..."

,,,,Takes a lot of money to own, and a certain amount of bravery as well.

Beryllium isn't ever likely to be used for any kind of normal consumer product as it makes titanium look cheap--but also because it is highly toxic-

It's all the labor hours used to assemble the bike including all the masking and special paint job used for it.
