Turbospoke - The Bicycle Exhaust System

"Imagine if you could transform your everyday bicycle to have the look and sound of a real motorbike. - Well imagine no more because Turbospoke does exactly that!!

Turbospoke not only has the look and feel of a real motorbike exhaust pipe, it also makes the most awesome realistic engine sounds. The engine sounds start as soon as the wheels turn, so the sound changes as your speed does! What’s more is that Turbospoke requires no batteries to make it work, it is 100% pedal powered.

The sounds are made by a thin plastic ' Motocard' which is held against the spokes of your wheel. Each Turbospoke comes with 3 Motocards which are tuneable for up to 6 different sounds. The sound travels up the exhaust pipe and gets even louder!!

So whether you’re a fan of Nascar, motocross, Formula 1 or rally you’ll be able to tune a sound that makes you VROOOM!!"

Loud pipes save lives.

It will most likely improve it due to the aero effects. Not to mention the placebo effects.

I'd be laughing my ass off to see someone at a group ride with that :D

2manybikes 10-21-11 07:01 PM

It's easier to just get a motorcycle.

There's a reason they named the cards that... :thumb:

Except for the fake pipe, why is this any worse than those annoying "Jake brake buzzsaw" sounding rear hubs? At least it will be kids buying this contraption. And it's only 20 bucks. How much does one of the hubs cost?

Juan Foote 10-21-11 08:22 PM

I am really glad that all the kids in my neighborhood are too lazy and attached to their various gaming consoles for me to ever worry about actually hearing these buzz around all next summer.

FunkyStickman 10-21-11 08:33 PM

Are these compatible with bladed spokes?

ROTFL.

jdon 10-21-11 08:34 PM

Simply awsome. I think I will buy one for my former boss's kid.

rjones28 10-21-11 08:39 PM

I prefer the old school method as well.

Obviously you are not a fan of Campy hubs. I kind if like the loud hub. I think I will pass on this contraption though.

Very tempting to buy... I just know it will make me a little faster if not intimidating... ;)
