An iPhone is too heavy to ride with :-)

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They're even heavier than 2 steel cans and a piece of string.

iPhone 4S: 140g.

Two steel cans connected by string: 108g.

This is the 21st century - replace that string with a modular phone cord and see how much it weighs!

You can get CF cans that weigh half as much as the titanium, but cost about $200 each. Totally worth it! That iPhone is just so heavy. Sucks trying to get up a hill with mine in my jersey pocket.

OP, you got the Luddite thing going strong. Either that or you misunderstood what it means to be a weight weenie. You're not supposed to weigh THAT cassette!

Riding with a heavy iPhone before an iguad or ilung upgrade is asking for trouble.

But with those cans I can't play Angry Birds when the paceline tires out and slows to 30 mph.
