Shorts
Recently I have noticed that when on my bike, the pad in my shorts seems to be too far up front. The rear-most seam of the pad is about the center of my saddle(between front and rear). Is this normal. I thought I should at least have some pad on my butt. I have adjusted and adjusted and it is always like this. I have Performance brand and Pearl Izumi shorts.I have never noticed this until someone riding behind me ask me if I used non-padded shorts. i guess it's not a comfort thing as I am used to it now, but it would be nice to know if this is normal or not. Sorry for the weird question.

No need to be sorry.
I am disposed to think that your shorts might be one (or maybe two) size too large for you. The chamois in your shorts should stay in place, provided the shorts or bibshorts are the right size. The chamois moving around in a well-made short is most of the time b/cos of oversize. |
