Here are some photos I shot of a bike belonging to a very strong local racer. This is his bike after a two day bike race. It's the only road bike he owns and he has put what I would assume is nearing 50,000 miles on it.

So next time you're concerned about scratching your frame or concerned you're bike's too worn to go on, these are great photos to look at.

that's cool. However, I'll say that my RB-1 has seen far, far worse.
Rub some mud and grease on the frame, spit on it once in a while and it'll gain way more seniority.........

What does the rubber band on the shifter do?

the bar tape looks good,,,.....except for the blood

great pictures increase your fstop and slow your iso and get a tripod and you will really make those pics POP

Nice. So he runs a MTB rear derailleur and cassette? I assume the rubber band is because of a broken return spring for the shifter paddle - the one that returns the paddle from the 'sprinters grip'. Hoods sure look nice...

Really nice little 'photo essay' there. Makes me want to pull out the camera and snap a few this afternoon.

They were taken with a 5D (which I also happen to shoot with) at ISO 200, f/2.8 and shutter speeds in 1/5000 range - I'm thinking that he can get it done without the tripod, in that kind of light.

You should really get Lightroom, though, nick - much faster and more efficient for photographers. ;)

I have no idea what I am supposed to whip out, plus I have no itching. I used some gold bond medicated powder and it took care of the itching. I was just asking a question.

Sorry, I couldn't figure out what his racing cat had to do with this thread. I assumed you meant it as a slight in reference to the strong racer comment. I'm also pretty sure you know (or know how to find out) what his status is so the only point of your question was to point out to everyone else what cat he is in. Carry on.
