Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Synapse carbon 105

Does anyone know if there is a longer seat post available than the standard one supplied with the 2011 synapse? I have changed the seat for one with lower rails - hence more post needed and I'm now on the limit.

Cant find any info online

Cheers

I looked at these quite carefully before buying a supersix.

The issue with the 2011 model was the aero seatpost...so you can't just go to wiggle or CR and buy a "normal" round 350mm post and whack it on...

When I enquired about it the LBS they said you can special order a longer post from the factory when you order the bike but it wouldn't have been long enough for me. I think the "long" post was 330mm from memory.

So if you think 330mm is long enough you could try your local cannondale dealer and see if they can order one for you?

By the way...you can run the post about 10mm past the limit line (don't tell anyone)...I've been doing it for a while on my hybrid and using it on some lighter mtb trails and I'm 102 kgs.
