Good Brand/Bike around $2,000 - $2,900
I'm in taiwan for a business trip at the moment and am thinking about getting a good road bike while i'm here since it'll be a little bit cheaper considering that many big names are manufactured here.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Are certain brands better than others? Which brand has the better bike in the price range i've specified?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Nyquil

Which part of Taiwan are you staying? If you are in Taipei then there are a lot of options to choose from. Your best bet is to visit a couple of bike shops and choose one that you feel comfortable to deal with. Giant bikes are very popular because of their good value, also there are a lot of dealers and company-owned service points.

Pick about any brand, Trek, Giant, Specialized, etc. are all made in Taiwan.

Do you have a way of getting that bike to your home without paying a lot of money? You can certainly find any sort of bike you could ever imagine in Taiwan but it'll cost you to get it out of there.

fyi, bikes do not cost less in tw, sometimes the tax amount is factored in and the otd price is still more compared to the US. especially if you are not friends with any bike shops they prob wont hook u up with a deal.
you can give it a shot up iknow from experience, i work in the industry andvam in tw.
