Lemond bikes!!
Its a bummer they don't make them anymore. Now that Lemond is a free agent, does that mean he could start making bikes again, or is there some legal bs between him and trek? I bet alot of people would like to see a new lineup.
|
his bikes were boring and I felt just Trek lite......a shame. Maybe if the would go Big and be that inventive, risky taking fella who beat the frenchman by seconds by using cutting edge stuff people would buy his bikes. That and he came across like an arse re: Lance.
|
This should bring out plenty of Lance partisans and former Landis partisans. They're the primary reason Lemond won't bother with a comeback. Hopefully he made plenty when he sold out to Trek. (Probably not as much as Lance though.)

I sure miss my Tourmalet, and have ridden many bikes more "boring" than LeMonds.
|
What makes a whole lineup of bikes "boring"? That comment says way more about the poster than about the bikes.
|
someone needs to check hammerdog for a pulse.

Thats your guy? |
He did a lengthy (and very nice) appearance at the Look booth at InterBike.
They presented him with a sweet bike to commemorate the anniversary of his victory on a Look bike as well as a nice check for his charity. Good deal. Hung out and signed autographs for a long time. Class act. Maybe something in the future for bikes...? - Z |

Oh and I'm not anti Lance either. I like him too. I've had the good fortune to run into him a couple of times on the road here in Austin. He's always been super nice and very approachable.

LeMond bicycles boring? Hardly.
I have a 2007 Buenos Aires that rides like a dream. A very well-balanced ride under all conditions and terrain. It is a bike I'll never sell. I do not think his bikes should be dissed just b/cos you do not like his extra-curricular activities. |
lemond geometry is probably whats perceived as boring. it was very traditional to say the least. no funny shaped tube sets, just old school steel or titanium, later alu....nice! lets not count that weird steel carbon rear triangle b. aries though. that thing was wacky. accusing a coworker of doping while you are on the company dime is ******** but he probably wanted out of trek anyway, so who knows what the real motive was. a lemond is the best bike ive ever ridden though. still have it happily displayed in my house!
|
so many angry folks here.....go ride and relax.
Lemond is not the man we all hoped he was....he's a tool. His bikes never sold |
What's not to like about Lance? Caugh......now gagging...
Lemond was THE man!! |

And, frankly, his answer was pretty straight forward. I mean he was just really stating the obvious. Of course then Lance blew a little hissy fit, because that's the kind of guy he is. |
My first road bike was a Lemond Nevada City. I never did like that bike.
