Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks just like mine, except I went no expenses spared and put a $20 fan in the front of my bike. I would like to have a velodrome in my house, but somehow it just won't fit with the drag strip in the way!

WaterRower. I like it because it is smoother than the CII, more compact, and much MUCH quieter.

FWIW, I also have a trainer for my bike (1UP https://www.1upusa.com ), but I thought I'd post something not everyone else has/sees.

Made some progress on my training room. Still have a bunch of cleaning to do. Got rid of the tall computer stand and got a shorter one, also replaced one of the monitors so that I would have two 22" monitors. I mounted both monitors and the 32" tv to the wall to try to get everything as low as possible to relieve strain on my neck while riding the trainer.

Before.

After.

I'm just setting up my mancave for the winter.

It's a combination shop/training facility & "get away from the munchkins pod".
Furnished with A/C, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a Cyclone fan in front of the
Kurt Kinetic Rock & Roll Trainer w/mat & riser block and a gorgeous view
of some West Virginia Mountains which are beautiful when snowed on.
Tech: iPod hooked up to a Bosch Stereo and a 42" flat screen in the works.

BTW BJP...nice bike.

(preview pic)

But this'll be my winter playground with the MTB...

You must have attention deficit issues.

Doesn't everyone? I find that time goes by much faster when I am watching a good action movie or a horror movie. A few episodes of Family guy or My Name is Earl also helps when I'm suffering on the trainer. I am able to take a quick look down at the computer monitor to see how much longer the current hill is when I feel like I am about to die.

Not legit enough. You don't ride enough. This is because you are both still rocking color-matched regular road tires. If you had a dedicated trainer tire because you rode so much that you work down your regular tires, it makes the whole setup legit.

I used to get really bored riding indoors. Now I can ride 2 hours a day, everyday, with no music, TV, etc., and it feels no longer than an outdoor ride of the same length.

Interestingly, the cause of boredom riding indoors isn't the lack of scenery. In fact, it isn't even actually boredom. While having some entertainment can distract you enough to make indoor riding more tolerable, it's more of a clumsy partial solution to the problem.
