Gucci Bianchi

Bianchi teams up with Gucci for new road bike range

$14,000 for a carbon Gucci Bianchi hybrid with an adjustable stem.

$6,200 for the steel single speed.

But it comes with a helmet, gloves and water bottle

Who is going to buy one?

pallen 12-07-11 11:05 AM

amazing. $14k for a hybrid? The single is a pretty bike at least - A pretty bike you could custom build for under $2000 and likely have something much better.

kageones 12-07-11 11:08 AM

Wow that helmet, gloves and water bottle cost $5,000 ?!!!?!
That's crazy, but some folks got big dough
I can envision one in my hometown strapped down on a Hummer, clearly no one inside rides it.
C-razy

That is the final sign for me that the world has finally gone over the deep end!

God help us all.

P.T. Barnum would approve.

I dunno. They both end in a vowel. That's more important than speed to a lot of people.

I'm sure for some billionaire out there this is just the right tool to ride around on deck on his/her 500ft yacht.

I think Gucci no longer has sway in the world of haute couture. Need something designed by Gaga instead.

Clearly seeing as they decided to partner with Bianchi for their bike business. I mean Bianchi makes a perfectly acceptable product but it's not exactly a boutique manufacturer.

Will it fit in my Gucci Edition Fiat 500.

The average American can't fit in a Fiat 500. They should have thought about that before they brought it here.

Essex 12-07-11 04:32 PM

They should have asked Versace to make stuff instead. Would have had more bling. Painting on the Italian (Gucci) logo - I can do that. ZZZZZ. However, I can't charge 1000.00 bucks for some POS helmet. However, I am sure there are safety provisions in that helmet so that a twig-like model could wear it without some form of spinal separation. :)

I used to drive a FIAT Strada - I could fit a road bike in there. The Fiat 500....got to take off a wheel I think?

You guys should see my Gucci Surly Long Haul Trucker.

MajorMantra 12-07-11 05:01 PM

I disagree . . . I think it is.

mark1974 12-07-11 05:06 PM

the single speed is nice, but its stupid that they charge so much for it. the cost to make that bike is probably less than $100. so its nothing special. i dont think they will sell a single bike.

Exclusivity has its price. Those with moneybags usually pay for that privilege.
