Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Look 695... this would be a do-it-all race/traiining bike. Buy used, with SRAM Red... Couple sets of 404's for race day wheels... SRM...

I think you're overestimating the purchasing power of $10K. A good trainer alone will eat up much of that in a year.

I'd buy a Walmart Schwinn and use the rest of the money to pay off some debt

Didn't you already do this? Plus, for the average person throwing around 10k on a bike probably doesn't have much deabt to contend with or sooo much debt that paying off 10 grand is useless.

Wow, you totally described me!
