Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rapha Short Cycling Films

Even though most of them are just advertisements for Rapha.... their videos are pretty sweet. Some amazing looking rides! If this doesn't make you want to get out and ride, what does??

I haven't watched them all yet but here's one with some beautiful scenery, even if the commentary is a little cheesy.....

Great filmmaking. Rapha videos and Garmin Cervelo & Test Team videos always make me want to drop everything and go ride.

Go to their Vimeo channel and they have plenty of cool short videos. The filmmaking is great with great music. They definitly do make you want to ride and actually have a good time on the ride!

I definitely like the idea of long rides on dirt roads though. I think I'll get out some maps and put some big squishy rubber on my touring bike.

They truly capture the love and romance of riding, you your bike and the scenery. I really wished they could put all this on a Blu Ray Disc so I can just pop it in my player and watch it while I spin. That would be awesome.

Like them or not I LOVE watching their films

wut? They make it seem awesome. If you think those are "just bike rides", where do YOU ride?

+1 to anything Rapha. Love their products, their love for the sport, and especially joining in on their club rides. Awesome bunch of dudes.

I like banjo music.

I actually thought that the first shot of the riders on the packed gravel after all that stillness and buildup was a little anticlimactic. Zooming down from out of nowhere would have put a better exclamation mark on that sequence.

I wanted to start chanting Koyaaaaaaanisquatsiiiiii at the beginning there. (points if you get the reference)

I really love the images in these things, but the narration and interviews always comes off as pretty cheese ball to me...

On the videos, it looks like most of them are riding custom steel or titanium bikes.
