You aren't going to find a Cannondale online unless you are buying used. There are plenty of good places online to buy frames, you will need to narrow down your search a bit first though.

Most, but not all, higher end bikes are available as a frameset (frame+fork) but often it's an expensive way to build a bike. Sometimes it works out better to buy a complete bike, strip the components, and rebuild it to suit you. That's how I got my Addict. I bought a complete 105 build in an end of season build, flipped the groupset and wheels and put my own Campy parts on instead. The bike was discounted to about the price of the frameset alone so it was a no-brainer.

Since you are not getting much love on your question, though I agree with the first response a little bit:
competitivecyclist, racycles, gvhbikes, the UK sites (chainreaction, probikekit, totalcycling, planet x), triathlon sites(trisports, all3sports, etc)

It will probably be harder to find comfort oriented bikes in frame only options. Also as mentioned, lots of the popular brands restrict online sales.

Some more comfort oriented bikes that are available online that come to mind are the Scott Cr1, litespeed m1,

If you buy a frame online it will be 100 g heavier than the exact same frame coming from an LBS. And it will explode after 3 months.

I believe that Scott may be switching over to no online sales as well. At least that is what WrenchScience told me a few months back.

Anyone knows who got the best prices for Giant Advanced frames?

Giant frames are not available for sale online, so you will have to go used or ebay to get one. Only other option is local bike shops.
