Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just got my Castelli 1-2-3 Radiation Jacket here:

https://www.worldcycling.com/WINTER-C.../products/882/

they have others cheaper and more expensive for same weather profile.
I had my mind set on this one, this is the cheapest I've seen.
did a google search and this was the cheapest from here in america. there were others from overseas with cheaper prices but they were either out of stock in my size or companies I've never heard of and had no company info.

my $0.02

REI, when they have a sale and/or coupons.
You get to try the items in the store.

competitive cyclist is blowing out some Capo stuff. Don't yet have first hand experience as I have yet to receive mine, but i hear Capo makes quality products. Customer service at CC is top rate

https://www.competitivecyclist.com/sp.../capo.460.html

PS. For NYC, i'd recommend the following

Balaclava
Gloves: 3 layers. Wool liners, 3 season long finger gloves, and shell (usually sold with 3 season gloves)
Baselayer: LS for 40 and below. Optional SS for 40 and above
Jersey: SS. Optional LS
Jacket: like the one Capo makes
Arm warmers, knee warmers, wind proof tights. Optional leg warmer
Toe covers, shoe covers, neoprene shoe covers when it dips below 20.

I have a 39" chest and bought a large. Its form fitting allowing to wear base layer and/or jersey. No need to layer up though.

As for the OP's question, go to bonktown.com. They have some winter stuff starting to come up on their website. The catch is you have to be patient and wait for a new deal to pop up every 20 minutes or so. Also, watch your wallet. You might end up spending a TON haha.

Gottaridebikes.com based out of Texas has 20% on your first order. They stock the Louis Garneau catalouge, anything from Jackets, Framesets to Warmers.

I got the Louis Garneau Massimo 2 Winter jacket and the Louis Garneau Neo Shoe covers for $120 all in. I've been wanting to get that jacket for a good price and I found it on their website.

They also carry other brands. I'm SURE you'll find everything in that store that you'll need for winter riding. 20% on your first order makes a huge difference.

Back on topic, try reading the "Winter Cycling " Forum. Winter gear has been covered a lot, in fact there are many layers of info there.

It is fairly late in season for winter gear purchases, so I think if you shop around you can get some good deals at a lot of places, not just Bonktown. Try Nashbar for one.

campmor.com currently has some really good prices on Pearl Izumi AmFIB bibs & tights. (For example, an AmFIB bib without chamois for $64.96.) Some deals on winter jackets and stuff, too.

I've bought some things from Wiggle - their house brand stuff (dhb) is usually a good value. I really like their wool base layers.

Ibex wool clothing is great in winter, Rapha also has some good stuff. Wool is a game changer, once you use it you will never go back.
