Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Problem with Hudz fit

I purchased a set of Hudz replacement brake hoods to install on a SRAM Rival equipped bike and am having a problem with the left hand side lever. The right side hood fits perfectly, but the left hand side ends up having a gap (about 1/4") right on the front of the lever body when the hood button is in the corresponding hole on the lever. I've tried stretching the hood to make up the gap, which only results in the button popping out and the fit being completely wrong. I've tried emailing Hudz but am not having much luck getting a response so I thought I would check here and see if this is common problem with Hudz or if I simply got a defective hood and am plain SOL (since Hudz won't answer my emails). Thank you in advance for any help.

I just replaced mine on my SRAM Red - fit just fine. Sorry it's being a hassle for you.
