Helmet/sunglasses integration

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Helmet/sunglasses integration

I would like to try them. Glasses are pretty ugly though IMO.

I don't know if all Lazer's new glasses will have the magnetic capabilities but some of their new line is actually good looking. I may end up buying some.

That seems like a pretty intriguing idea with a lot of potential. Granted, the current version lacks some style, but the basic idea seems like it could work pretty well.

this is surprisingly attractive to me. it would certainly make it easier to wear hats and headphones.

btw I'm also a little disappointed to read that the assos glasses are good:

Man, that's FOG galore. I'll crash using those glasses. It way too close that the body (face) heat won't be able to escape rapidly enough. They should've put vents on the lense itself.

Nice concept, poor execution.

and for some reason I thought about these:

Oakley Over the Top

yes, I had to put the freakiest person to have ever worn them...and Flava Flav delivers.

I don't get why they're such a turnoff
they look like Oakley Radars with shorter arms.

a gray lens with black arms - you wouldn't even be able to tell that they were magnets

thought i'd throw another point in here

i got a new winter cycling hat - pretty thick, covers my ears. (the rapha winter cycling cap, for any interested).
if i put my normal sunglasses on under the hat, it pushed the hat out a bit, letting cold air in.
if i put them over the hat, they don't sit securely.

and i thought...the magneto things kind of make sense.

If I'm paying a ton of money for sunglasses, I'd like to wear them off the bike as well.

you can. they come with regular arms as well. apparently you just pop off the magnet arms and put on the regular ones.

This is the only sort of integration I can readily approve of.

To me, 99.9% of glasses are practically the same when looking forward. It is when I look to the side and behind me that it makes a difference as 99.9% of them have obstruction in my field of view!

If only humans had some sort of protrusion on the sides of their heads that could be used to help hold the glasses on your face.

i agree that they could look better, but i think it's obvious that these are meant to make it so there is less stuff on your ears - not meant for people without ears.
