Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

so i was filling mine out and (i do have a guy that does all the legal stuff) so i was wondering if anyone has every written their bike in the losses portion. i had an accident on mine this past year, frames dented and i just chose to replace the fork, i feel pretty safe about aluminum frame. anyways so i was just wondering if anyone has done this? i researched it and seems you're able to write off about 100 bucks per event...

10 percent of AGI floor makes it irrelevant in the vast majority of cases.

Also, you've got the $100 backwards: that's the deductible.

Additionally, the loss has to be out of the control of e taxpayer and not foreseeable: difficult
T tests for most bike crashes.

Net,net, it's not going to fly, and it may get you audited.

If your guy tells you yes, you need a new guy.

So a new fork and a dented aluminum frame exceeds 10% of you adjusted gross income?
