Of course a 'strong' tri finish was expected. But getting 2nd place (only beaten by a gold medalist) while being 40 years old after not doing triathalons for 20 years is still very impressive. I dunno if you've done a half iron-man before, but it's a big change to go from only biking to swim/bike/run.

Performance enhanced or not, he's got to have one of the most efficient aerobic engines in the field (even at 40). If his body can hold up to the running, I'll bet he'll be in the top 5 in the next couple years, maybe this year.

All the Kiwi press is slaggin' him for blanking Docherty at the finish line. Apparently he stormed past him without a word of congratulations. Although to be fair he did later congratulate him.
