Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You're one of the few posters that know anything about tri's. This is really an amzing accomplishment.

Pretty impressive. Predictions for Kona?

Performance enhanced or not, he's got to have one of the most efficient aerobic engines in the field (even at 40). If his body can hold up to the running, I'll bet he'll be in the top 5 in the next couple years, maybe this year.

He did not "storm past him" both he and Bevan said it was crazy at the finish with the media and volunteers and they just tried to get out of their so the other finishers would have space after they crossed the line.

Many very sophisticated doctors and lab technicians have long tried to prove this and failed to do so. The proof for your statement?

Rule #42 - A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

And that is all I have to say about that.

I hear that Lance is threatening to show up at one of our Saturday shop rides and crush souls. Afterwards, he'll say he couldn't have done it without those crappy energy drinks that he shills for.

I wonder if the Triathlon circuit has a stringent anti-doping policy.

His proof. Didn't you hear he was under investigation by the most powerful investigative service in the world, with unlimited resources, headed up by the investigator who has brought down the likes of Barry Bonds. This guy would love nothing more than add Lance Armstrong to his belt.......Wait....the investigation was dropped? Awww..they probably just thought he's such a nice guy, lets give him a break...

I wondered what he was doing in Panama. For those who don't know, you can follow his rides/runs on Strava. His rides/runs are uploaded under the name of "Juan Pelota".

Strava link to Lance's Panama tri on February 12th. Reveal the hidden segments to show his run and swim legs.

It's a shame that in this modern age of chemical performance enhancers, that we give pause prior to recognition of honest althetic physical triumphs...
